Twenty-nine years in electrical steel

Alpine Stampings manufactures at a single site: the works at Kachigam, Nani Daman. Our registered office is in Mumbai.

The trade has not changed in twenty-nine years. We buy electrical steel, slit it and stamp it. The steel is bought direct from the mills, slit to width and stamped at Daman, and leaves as laminations, stampings, slit coils and cut-to-length.

The two places do different work: commercial, costing and import documentation in Mumbai, and everything that is made, inspected and despatched at Daman. Get to know us describes each.

Alpine Stampings is one of the largest manufacturers of stampings and laminations in western India, supplying transformer, motor, fan, appliance, EV and inverter makers.

No single account carries the business, and customers stay: most of what we run has been running for years. What each industry takes from us is set out under the industries we supply.

The long-standing theme of Alpine Stampings is building relationships: with the mills we buy from, with the toolmakers who make our tooling, and with customers whose parts run for years.

We build our own tooling and run customer tooling for jobwork, and where we build the tool its cost is amortised transparently in the costing, so you can see what you are paying for and when it is paid off. The same intent runs through the quality system: we agree tolerances per part against your drawing rather than publishing a blanket figure, and confirm them at first-off inspection before a run is released. What we check, and when lists every attribute checked, and what travels with the lot.
