Alpine Stampings has bought CRGO and CRNO electrical steel direct from the mills for twenty-nine years, across both domestic and international origins.
What buying direct gives you

Our own import desk
Alpine Stampings has run its own import desk since 1998, handling letters of credit, customs clearance and import documentation itself rather than through an agent.
That desk sits at the registered office in Mumbai, alongside enquiries, costing and customer accounts; the material it brings in is slit and stamped at the works at Daman. The split between the two is set out under get to know us.

Alpine Stampings buys from domestic and international mills side by side, so grade availability does not depend on a single origin.
We buy direct from domestic and international mills. The mills we work with are named on request.
Grades, thicknesses and coatings

These are the grades bought and held; what is made from them is listed under laminations, stampings, slit coils and cut-to-length. Coil is slit to the width a part needs on Alpine's own line at Daman, so a grade and a width are a setup rather than a stock item.

- Is the material traceable back to the mill?
- Yes. Alpine Stampings records coil and heat identity at goods-in and carries it through slitting, stamping and packing, so a finished lot can be traced to the coil and the heat it came from.
- Do you supply a mill test certificate?
- Yes. The source mill’s test certificate goes out with every despatch from Alpine Stampings as a matter of course, not on request.
