What happens here

The Mumbai office is where your enquiry lands, where we put a quotation together against your drawing, and where we handle the letters of credit and customs paperwork for imported coil.

It is also where we run the mill relationships — the buying, the documentation and the certification that comes with imported material.

The import desk has been here since 1998. It handles letters of credit, customs clearance and import documentation itself rather than through an agent, which is what makes buying direct from the mills practical across both domestic and international origins: a grade is not dependent on a single mill, and the source mill's test certificate is part of the paperwork from the start rather than something chased afterwards.

Costing is done here too. A new part is quoted with the tool layout and the tool cost and its amortisation alongside the part rate, so the whole figure is visible before anything is committed — the sequence is set out under tooling, jobwork and how a new part starts.

Nothing is manufactured at this address. The presses, the slitting line, the tool room, inspection and despatch are all at the Daman factory.
